InQuestioning Mind, the high relief face is cut away, surrealistically creating a question mark, a hallmark of the human face. Originally created as a wall hanging sculpture, requests for a larger and outdoor versions prompted Michael to re-sculpt it in a bigger format as shown in our gallery!!

I sculpted this heron during the last year of my mother's life & dedicated it to her. I think of her whenever I see one now, & remember her timeless encouragement: Blue skies really do come again." Quoted by David Smus himself.
This piece was constructed with six feet of steel rods to create different faces. In the base of the sculpture are blue lights that you are able turn on to cast shadows of human faces in the evening hours. Michael created this sculpture to show different illusions of faces that you would not previously have seen before.

Tallest of the dogs & imposing in stature, the Wolfhound has a wonderfully gentle temperament. This one was a commission of a national obedience champion who also served the firefighters of 911. The first of these 10 scuptures made belongs to the client who owned the dog, and the rest of the edition is being offered for sale openly.
This highly detailed sculpture is carved out of a large granite stone. Fun fact; it is protected by an Eagle Spirit. Because the Eagle is superior and flies above other birds, it is considered chief. Making this sculpture even more special.
